Join a Special Vinterliv Event and Collaboration on Saturday, Feb. 24

As a sequel to our first Vinterliv event in 2023, we're excited to collaborate with Paddlefish Brewing, St. Peter's first brewery, for another celebration of winter.

Although this one feels like the winter that wasn’t, we’re still excited to celebrate all the joy winter has to offer as its final days draw near.

We’re even more thrilled to do it with Paddlefish Brewing, St. Peter’s newly opened brewery, who has created a special Swedish farmhouse ale just for this—aptly named “Vinterliv.” It is inspired by the traditional Swedish “Gotlandsdricke,” and it is brewed with birch leaves, juniper berries and a kviek yeast imported from Scandinavia. It will be released during the week of Feb. 26, 2024.

At this Vinterliv event, Paddlefish will sample one of their popular flagship brews.

In addition to sampling with Paddlefish from noon – 4 p.m., we’ve also planned special offers and activities throughout the day:

• 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.:

  • Back patio bonfire with wool blankets

  • Puzzle Race: Challenge a friend in a race to complete a short, Minnesota-made puzzle to win 20% off a single item*

  • Swedish knäckebröd open-face sandwich tastings

• 12 – 4 p.m.: Beer tasting** with Paddlefish brewers

  • Bring your Swedish Kontur receipt from Feb. 24 to Paddlefish next week for a buy one, get one free offer on the Vinterliv Farmhouse Ale

  • Nonalcoholic lingonberry Saft will also be available to sample at Swedish Kontur

Join us on Saturday, Feb. 24, to enjoy and celebrate the remaining days of winter, as well as helping us welcome Paddlefish to Minnesota Avenue, a fantastic addition to our community!
